China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a draft three-year plan for the country’s cybersecurity industry, projecting the industry will grow 15% annually and be valued at $39 billion by 2023, the Financial Times reported July 12. On July 10, the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) also further outlined cybersecurity review measures and mandated a review for any critical information infrastructure and data processing that may “affect national security,” factoring in supply chain sustainability and threats from foreign governments affecting, controlling or exploiting data.
