Azerbaijan launched a military operation in Nagorno-Karabakh, Reuters reported Sept. 19. Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence said it began "local anti-terrorist measures" to "ensure the safety of its military personnel and restore the constitutional order" and that humanitarian corridors and reception points have been created on the Lachin road and in other directions. The Artsakh Ministry of Defense stated that they are repelling attempts to break through the line of combat contact, while Armenia's Ministry of Defense said that everything is calm at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
