Argentina is in talks to receive $30 billion in credit from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Bloomberg reported May 8. President Mauricio Macri said in a televised address that the IMF funding would help the country's growth and development program . He did not say how large the line of credit would be. Macri has enacted numerous economic improvements and trade liberalizations to ease inflation and improve growth, but Argentina still faces high inflation rates and a trade deficit.
