Argentine President Mauricio Macri and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro have agreed in principle to negotiate reforms to the charter of the Common Market of the South (Mercosur), BAE Negocios reported Jan. 17. The changes are intended to give the bloc’s member states greater leeway to sign free trade agreements and improve their ability to trade with countries and trade blocs.
