Saudi Arabia's leadership is hoping for a financial boost from the United Kingdom. On March 7, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman began a trip to the United Kingdom with the primary goal of shoring up the already strong business relations between the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia. To do this, bin Salman has met with British Prime Minister Theresa May, as well as British business leaders and investors, in a campaign to spur interest in Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 investment plans. He's expected to be successful: British and Saudi diplomats say they expect deals to be signed with a combined value of up to $100 billion in fields such as finance, education, technology and security cooperation. The United Kingdom also benefits from the business cooperation, considering the Saudis are big buyers of British manufactured goods and equipment.
