Clashes in southern Nigeria's oil-rich Delta State have resulted in the deaths of at least 21 people, when over 200 angry youths descended upon a rig at Ojobo belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Co. According to Shell corporate external relations manager Don Boham, they demanded "immediate commencement of community development projects, a review of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), as well as direct dealing with service contractors to review work contracts for six of their members."
