Fidel Castro has a few pet names for Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar, like "marionette," "fascist" and "little Fuhrer." In June 2003, Castro led an immense protest march against the Spanish Embassy in Havana, and his brother Raul led a second march against the Italian Embassy. These were Castro's first-ever protest marches against any European countries. However, Castro is also peeved with his old friends in the European Union. On July 28, during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, he called EU states "slave traders" that "looted and exterminated entire peoples." He also declared that Cuba would not accept any more aid "crumbs" from Brussels. Ah, The Good Old Days Times certainly have changed.
